This Privacy Policy explains how Gentian Jetullahu ("we", "us") handles personal data in connection with the JetTranscript desktop application and the website jettranscript.com.

The short version: JetTranscript runs 100% offline. Your audio recordings, transcripts and summaries are processed only on your own device and are never uploaded to us or anyone else. We don't see them and can't access them.

2. Your recordings, transcripts and summaries

All audio recording, transcription and AI summarization happen locally on your computer. This content is stored only on your device, in the folders you choose. It is never transmitted to us, and we have no access to it.

3. Data we (or our providers) process

License activation: When you activate a license key, the app contacts the license service (Lemon Squeezy) and transmits your license key and a device name (your computer's host name) to verify and activate the license. This does not include any of your audio or transcripts.
Purchases: Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy, acting as Merchant of Record. They collect the billing and payment data needed to complete your purchase under their own privacy policy (lemonsqueezy.com/privacy).
Website: When you visit jettranscript.com, our hosting provider may process standard technical data (such as your IP address) in server logs to deliver and secure the site.
Contact: If you email us, we process your email address and message to respond to your request.

4. What we do not do

We do not sell your data. We do not use your recordings, transcripts or summaries for any purpose. We do not build advertising profiles.

5. Legal basis (GDPR)

Where the GDPR applies, we process the limited data above to perform our contract with you (license activation, purchase), and based on our legitimate interest in operating and securing the website and responding to enquiries.

6. Retention

We keep purchase/license records as required for legal and tax purposes. Email correspondence is kept as long as needed to handle your request.

7. Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the processing of your personal data, and to data portability and objection, as provided by applicable law. To exercise these rights, contact us at jettranscript@outlook.com. You may also lodge a complaint with a data protection authority.

8. Third parties

We use Lemon Squeezy (payments & license verification) and a website hosting provider. These providers process data only as needed to deliver their service.

9. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy. The current version is always available on this page.
